Camping on 4/9/2010 - 5/9/2010 Part 3 (Undetailed Ending)

Anyway, It has been extremely long since that happened but I can still remember what happened I hope.

We had our inspection of backpacks with Sam and Bob as the inspectors. Boon Cheng packed the minimal things required for survival, Ru Shen and I packed okay and Edred packed complete with food, drink and etc. The inspection ended and we had to start unpacking the tent as well as make a drain so if it rains, it won't flood. Then we had to setup the tent (which had problems and is mine but repaired by some adhesive tape). Not too long and we set up a 4-man tent and a 2-man tent. Bob and Sam looked at it and then we had our lunch.

After lunch, we had to collect firewood as it was a test to make a fire with 3 matches and cook something which only Edred passed and even he didn't make it within 3 matches. It took a lot of effort and matches but in the end, we had lots of experience and had a wonderful time but also disappointing. It took very long, so it was near nightfall and we had to go to take a bath as we smelled like smoke.

After a quick bath, Bob had setup a bond fire which we cooked our food. Mostly a lot of failed and crap'ish food. Then we were given some 'Real' Food by Chef Sam and had a fun time. Then, Bob asked us to make a story about B.P's history as well as insert some things such as Knots and Whipping, Scout Law, and other things that is required to pass Tenderfoot. We then had to make Twist which was really fun. Then, it was midnight and we were extremely tired.

Next Morning, we woke up early and had a small breakfast served by Chef Sam again and we mostly packed up, received our certs, learned about equipment, un-learn what VSG taught us and others. Then, we were already on our way home and had some lunch in a Mamak store somewhere on the way back. Then, that was another story altogether. Bye for now. Exam is next Friday (22nd October 2010 - 29th October 2010). Then, its Gundam Diorama time

Camping on 4/9/2010 - 5/9/2010 Part 2 (Partial Continuation)

Anyway continuing from the previous post which was quite a long time ago... XD Anyway after all those details, we had to clean Bob and Sam's campsite when we arrived with the last bags. We actually got a few lessons from Sam and Bob. It was mostly about picking a campsite. Our final choice was a campsite beside a bamboo forest, and in the middle of two other campsites. It was all cement too which was rather more enjoyable as the ground was flat and it was a slope so it was a rather a bit less than perfect for the campsite. We put a fly sheet over the ground and had our bags arranged at the fly sheet. I forgot to mention we had to clean our campsite like we did for Bob and Sam's campsite which were beside the shelter. Soon, we had our inspection.

I did not go in to a lot of detail as I am in the UK and the time is well at night and I still have jet lag so I am still tired as it is 5.10 in the morning so I don't know... I am tired... This is still not complete. XD Love the internet here

Camping on 4/9/2010 - 5/9/2010 Part 1 (Details)

The camp is mostly for those VSG'ians who plan to be King Scouts. Mainly : Me, Boon Cheng, Ru Shen, Edred (All those who went actually XD). This was a one day camp to pass more than 1 test. The camping was held in Ulu Yam.

We started off in VI at 7.00 a.m. where everyone gathered to start preparation for the camp (golok [parang], saw, axe and a few timbers [kayu bakau]). Then we packed everything into the Trainers (Bob Lew and Sam Cheong) cars. We then left for Ulu Yam which is near Batu Caves (quite). We also stopped by a nearby Tesco ( A few minutes from Batu Cave [Driving]) to pick up anything we had forgotten such as food, drinks, cups, utensils, etc.

We arrived around 11a.m. and had a new feeling around this area. It was somewhat unlike the GTKYC camps where it was just plain hard ground and wide open area and had sides filled with trees. This campsite was more interesting. The cars were parked outside one of its entrances near an Archway. Through the archway there were many pondoks nearby (mind me for my rojak-ness [messy]) the area all spread out. The ahead (nearby) was a suspension bridge and below the bridge was, nonetheless a river or stream. There were three safe ways to descend to that area. There was one pathway down on each side of the bridge (left and right of it) while the other was opposite the pathway of the left side (facing the bridge start point).

After crossing it, we had to go to and fro from the car and the campsite to completely unload everything. The campsite consists of a Shelter area which is just a cement ground on the upper-right-hand [North-East] side after crossing the bridge. On the right there was another pondok but it had a table. Beside the shelter there was a square cement barrier that held the ground in place as well as enable the ground to be flat and smooth (perfect for camping). Opposite of the Shelter was more square like that but just smaller and more spread out. There was also a toilet straight ahead of the bridge.

I have nothing to say... I have recently become a T.P.L. (Temporary Patrol Leader) in VSG. I have a lot of things to say as I am going to open a Helios Patrol (my temporary patrol) blog. I am not sure whether or not to create it but I will post the website at the side of the page. Anyway... I have not shown anything in my recent life out yet... I am lazy to blog nowadays but I will be doing some blogging soon. So see ya...

Life of an Idiot

No matter how I look at it, it cannot change, my life is depressing, my friends... are they true, or will they leave me soon enough. I had a good friend once, then he started ignoring me and now he treats me like trash, I had a really old friend once, and now he tramples my feelings, I had a kind friend but now I see him walking with my old friends, I had an annoying friend, but I don't really care about him, I had a gamer, and now I am beside him, I have a similar character as me, but he cares about me, I have a friend that was ignored, now he ignores me. My life is depressing, I could go on but nobody reads this place. My sorrows will fade, my dreams will die, my faith will be trampled, my eyes will be gut, my guts will be torn, my legs will be broken, my hands will keep down, my ideas will not be seen. Forgotten by the world is the most cruel torture, the most painful and the saddest.

Worldly Matters

What I have seen is this world is nothing... What I haven seen outside of this world is something... The world has great ideas, no matter how we screw up it still comes again. Love is a drag, but love also covers our eyes, teaching us not to fear, as there is love. What people think about you doesn't matter, what the heart thinks matters. Follow your and your feelings, it is the only guidance you have besides darkness. Those who look into the skies above and wonder what is out there, are the people who wants to die faster, the risks of life has no boundaries, thus creating a space, rift and continuum that separates us from each other. One has the feeling but does not act because he does not have knowledge, one has no knowledge because he thinks about others thinking about him and one who thinks about other's thoughts is one who dies early. Gluttony, lust, envy, pride and sloth is in a few ways greed. Gluttony, greed for food, lust, greed for earthly needs, envy, greed upon others, sloth, greed for laziness. We humans distinct ourselves between good pride, lust, greed or pride. Everything is because we make it so, the world was thought to be square, while the good and evil was thought by humans. Humans cause the problems and even though there is a saying "Clean up after yourself" we do not follow. The Perfect Being is yet to come. True Innovation will purge this world but will True Innovation or Baptism come first. The race between Humanity and Religion is up state. The stake of life is below the globe. Whichever sides it falls, the globe will break. Head my warning. The meaning of "True Innovation" is the belief and acceptance of God in Life while the meaning of "Baptism" is the judgement that will be brought down.
